David Jack - Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts; Post Grad Dip. Public Sector Mgmt.
Career:
David has extensive experience in leading and managing community organisations. Between 2004 and 2008 he was involved in international development as CEO of Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Australia and Regional Vice President for ADRA International in the South Pacific.
Prior experience in disability services includes being Executive Director of Logan West Community Centre (1996-1999) which included overseeing a respite centre for young people with a disability as one of a broad range of community services.
During his career, David has served on a number of boards, peak bodies and ministerial committees as chair, treasurer and committee member. His participation includes initiating the formation of a peak body and setting up several federal and state government-funded pilot projects.
Interest in supporting Muscular Dystrophy:
David is passionate about social justice, community development and contributing to the well-being of the vulnerable in our society. This combined with his previous experience leading an organisation delivering services to young people with a disability has contributed to David’s interest in supporting people with neuromuscular disorders including muscular dystrophy.
