As the peak body representing people with neuromuscular conditions, Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Australia is committed to advocating on behalf of our community to influence improved health, social and economic outcomes. Through advocacy, we aim to influence government and other key decision makers to enact systemic policy change for people living with neuromuscular conditions, their families and carers.

HOW WE ADVOCATE

Submissions

As the national representative voice, we strive to influence Australian health, aged care and disability agendas to improve outcomes for people living with neuromuscular conditions, their families and carers. Working with our members, our advocacy work includes regular representations and submission responses to the Australian Government. We actively seek opportunities to contribute to policy development through government reviews, consultations and submissions.

Some of our submissions may be presently jointly or with other peak organisations that represent people impacted by neuromuscular conditions.
