Bequests

Leaving a bequest is possibly the most profound and enduring contribution you can make to help us enhance the quality of life for children, young people and adults whose lives are impacted by a neuromuscular disorder.

We realise leaving a bequest requires much care and much consideration. You need to be certain that what you leave behind will be used in the best way possible. You may believe that funding medical research is of more enduring benefit, or you may feel that the funding of services to improve the quality of people’s lives provides the most needed, immediate and tangible benefits.

We would be pleased to talk to you in confidence and without any obligation should you wish to get a deeper understanding of the work of MDF Australia and the way in which a bequest from you would make a real difference to us and the people we continue to support. Listing Muscular Dystrophy Foundation as a beneficiary in your will

Where Muscular Dystrophy Foundation has been listed as a beneficiary of a will, the following, or a variant thereof, will need to be included in that Will:

“I give and bequeath the sum of, a percentage of, or other such provision…, free of all duties to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Limited, ABN: 55 104 074 455.”

Please ensure that the ABN is included as this will eliminate all confusion as to which Muscular Dystrophy Entity the bequest is to be gifted to.

Where the funds are to be used specifically for Research, please ensure that the statement in the Will references as such.
